School Site Council (SSC): Parent Representatives Needed

What is School Site Council?

Every school that receives school improvement funding must have a School Site Council to develop, implement, and oversee a School Improvement Plan for Student Achievement.

What are the responsibilities as a School Site Council member?

-Attend 6-7 meetings per year from 2:15-3:15PM on Tuesdays

-Attend District School Site Council Training on October 16, 2019 at 5:30PM

-Assist in the development of the school plan

-Approve and recommend the plan for the Board of Trustees' approval

-Review the on-going implementation of the school plan

-Monitor the effectiveness of the improvement activities in meeting the specified objectives stated in the plan

-Review and update the plan annually

-This is a two-year term
